Anybody notice anything different? That's right, The Fisherman's Widow got herself a spankin' new website! After several years on Blogspot and several months on WordPress, I just wasn't picking up what they were throwing down, so I decided to do a total overhaul and take my talents to Weebly. It's good to finally be home! I'm so happy with how everything is laying out and looking. It's still a work in progress, but for the first time in a while, I feel like I'm finally on the right track.
My husband's career had us traveling to the Lake of the Ozarks in Missouri last weekend for a much needed getaway. Even though it was a working vacation of sorts, we still managed to have a great time, eat tasty food and laugh a lot. I feel like life has been so hectic lately that we both have struggled with taking some time for each other. The weather was pretty rainy and gloomy most of the time, which to be honest, was just fine with us. We opened the patio doors for fresh air, turned on the fireplace for heat and hunkered down. Considering I'm a "fair weather" fisherwoman, we were only able to get out on the water for a few hours before it started pouring again and forced us off. Thankfully, we were able to get the video content needed to make a video for Josh that features his sponsor, Navionics and their new Updates Card. It's a pretty sweet deal for any angler that needs to get the updated mapping for their electronics unit without having to buy a new chip every year. The instructional video we made helps walk you through the process. Here's the final result!
Hey there -
I'm Bri! Lover of food, wine, and photography that is currently traveling with my professional bass fishing husband along with our cantankerous rottie, Kigen. When not traveling you can find me living the lake life off the shores of Lake Mille Lacs in Isle, MN. Pour a drink, pull up a chair and join me as I journey across the country documenting it all along the way!
