As you can tell from my video page, I produce a ton of videos for my husband. I love making them and putting fun edits in to keep things lively, but lately it's felt like I've been doing the same video over and over. So to change that, I've asked him to bring me some new and unique shots that I can edit in throughout the way so it doesn't feel redundant. Last week, he took Kigs and headed out to Lake Minnetonka with GoPro's in hand and did he ever deliver! He got me so many great shots to work with that all we really needed to finish it off was his talking portion which we filmed while out on Lake Mille Lacs last weekend. The video is about sightfishing on spawning beds and showcases the Biovex Kolt Fish Tail. This was super fun to edit and even if you're not into fishing it's pretty fun to watch because there is a ton of underwater footage. Just going through all of it, I learned a ton about the habits of bass and pan fish. Hope you enjoy it!
Over the weekend, my sister-in-law gave birth to our newest nephew, Jaceon Jeffery Clark. He is a spittin' image of his older brother, JJ, and as sweet as can be. When I got to the hospital about 12 hours after he was born they said that he had yet to cry and was the most laid back of the bunch so far. JJ has already claimed him as "his baby" and I have a feeling they are already best friends. Josh and I are headed over to their house again later this week and over Memorial weekend is JJ's birthday party so we'll definitely be getting our baby fix! That's the great thing about being an aunt and uncle. When the crap hits the fan and the kiddos start screaming their heads off, we can just head out to our peaceful little abode!
Any day I get to spend with my mom is a winner, but there's something about Mothers Day that makes it extra special. Maybe because it's all about celebrating her and all she's done for me and my family. Maybe it's because even though she's appreciated every day, she gets this day to feel all the extra feels. And maybe, when I'm with her on this day I get to celebrate being a dog mom in a world that doesn't really recognize our roll. Society can be so obtuse.
Back when I got my first DSLR camera in 2012 while I was trying to learn all the settings so that I wasn't going to be stuck in "Auto" mode for the rest of my days, I was getting out on the water with my husband and snapping shot after shot just trying to figure the darn thing out. One could say this is where my love of photography was born. I was no longer going through life snapping pictures but actually taking photographs. I was seeing beauty in things that I normally wouldn't have given a second glance to. It gave me a new outlook on how to view the world. I've come a long way since then but my love of getting out on the water to snap some fishing shots is still there.
Hey there -
I'm Bri! Lover of food, wine, and photography that is currently traveling with my professional bass fishing husband along with our cantankerous rottie, Kigen. When not traveling you can find me living the lake life off the shores of Lake Mille Lacs in Isle, MN. Pour a drink, pull up a chair and join me as I journey across the country documenting it all along the way!
